Do you have an extra room or two in your church or corporate building? Royal Family KIDS Camp & Mentoring is looking for a partner. We are a non-profit ministry operating under Renewal City Church and we serve children experiencing foster or kinship care.
Before August 31, 2024, we need to confirm and move into a new location to store our camp supplies. I’d love to chat if you think your property (or any other that comes to mind) could be the answer to our prayers!
Features needed:
- We’re currently using 1,000 sq ft but we’re open to options (possibly splitting up our supplies across multiple locations)
- We already have the heavy duty shelving!
- Well-sealed against critters (we do store food items)
- Can be accessed weekdays, weeknights and weekends by our volunteers
- Longview/Kelso area preferred
Preferences:
- In a location where 6-12 different volunteers could each access when they need to work on their respective areas of camp (crafts; dress up; beauty parlor; tea party; birthday party; camper gifts; woodshop; sports games; kitchen supplies, etc.).
- All items need to be accessed throughout the year, so a rental storage unit isn’t ideal, when things are all jammed and piled into one space.
- We also hold a couple work days meetings throughout the year, so a fellowship hall or conference room nearby with tables available to spread out on, bathrooms, etc. would be ideal, but not required.
- We are sometimes there for hours at a time, so access to a restroom is ideal.
*******************************
The mission of For The Children is to transform our local community by interrupting cycles of neglect, abuse, and abandonment of children in the foster care system. Too often these children, who have experienced family-induced trauma, find themselves on paths to academic failure, drug abuse, teen pregnancy, sex trafficking, homelessness, and incarceration.
At our Royal Family KIDS summer camps – and other programs throughout the year – dedicated to changing the trajectory of these young lives, we strive to plant seeds of hope, happiness, and wholeness. By helping to heal the scars of the past, we hope to aid these children in transforming into resilient adults with the ability to overcome challenges and be successful and healthy members of our community.
Our non-profit organization runs 100% on generous donations from compassionate donors and is 100% staffed by volunteers.
For the children,
Jess
