COVID self-tests needed!!!

UPDATE 6/6: We do not need need any additional tests ordered! Based on the number of tests that we’ve already received … and those people who said they placed orders already… we will have all that we need. Thank you!

Hey Royal Family volunteers, supporters and friends!

We need to collect about 350 COVID rapid tests to use for our free summer camp for children who have experienced foster and kinship care this summer. (Campers and volunteers will all be tested before heading to the campground and again the first few days of camp, to prevent spreading it throughout the campground.)

Each household is eligible for free tests every month. Would you be willing to place a free online order for tests? And to donate some of those to our camp?

You can order from BOTH of these sites:

You can order 2 kits (each contain 5 tests) per household per month. (That’s a total of 10 tests per month.)
This resets on the 1st of each month, so you could order today AND then again beginning June 1 AND again beginning July 1.

3 orders of 8 individual at-home tests can be placed through this website for each residential address. (That’s a total of 24 tests.)
You can place your additional orders immediately. (You do not need to wait until next month.)
Once your household has received your 3 orders, you will not be able to order any more from this site. (Please don’t give us all of your tests if you feel you may need them in the future.)

Deadline to get tests to us: Sunday, July 17

We can only accept tests that can be used the last week of July 2022. According to this document on the FDA’s website and this statement on the State of Washington’s Department of Health website, an expiration date extension has been granted for COVID tests. Please insure the expiration date of any tests you donate still falls within the acceptable dates of usage on the list in the first link.

We’re looking for one individual at each church or workplace who would be willing to be the point person to collect these tests and then coordinate drop off with us at our storage area.

All are welcome to join us. If you can’t stay to eat with us, 33% of your purchase (in person or using the app) will still be donated to our program, as long as we meet a minimum of $150 in sales.
Royal Family KIDS Chapter Director Jess McCloud will be there from 5PM-6:30PM and would be willing to collect any COVID tests then. Please look for her wearing a “Royal Family KIDS” camp t-shirt.

Praise & Prayer Night:

All are welcome to join us. The first 30 minutes will be led by the worship band and the last 30 minutes will be a time to circle up and pray for the foster children joining us at camp in July and the volunteers ministering to these kids from hard places.
